Washington Square Park

I spent some time in Washington Square Park.  I enjoyed learning about the history of the park.

This park is in the heart of downtown Charleston, in Charleston’s Historic District, located next to City Hall.  It originally was known as City Hall Park until it was renamed, in George Washington’s honor, in the late 1800’s.  The park has a statue of George Washington and Pierre Beauregard.
